My Favourite Tree

Hawaii Sunrise

I am a full time professional photographer, sleep deprived most of the time as we work both ends of the clock. In the summer time the sun rises at 4 am and sets at 11 pm. The good thing is we see nature and all it's beauty unfold in front of us. Hard to beat a life so rewarding.

Hanging in for the Shot

Kauai Hawaii

It's all about patience. I can say without a word of a lie that my best photography is because I waited it out. In this capture the waves that day we're not very good.  I could see the sky starting to change colour.  Even though I was exhausted from a day of shooting I stuck it out.

The Palouse

The Palouse in Eastern Washington is a sight to see. In this capture I used a very good polarizer to enhance the colours. The lines created by the colour are quite remarkable. I highly recommend this place to any serious photographer. For more information feel free to contact me directly.

Here is a tip for working large waves. If you have a servo setting on your camera try using it as the wave moves at the same speed and as a result it will stay in focus as you pan on the wave. My Canon cameras have an amazing servo.

Figure out the Light

It is always a pleasure to get out of bed and head down to the ocean to figure out what the day will bring. It pays to get there in the dark and watch the beginning unfold.  The 30 minutes before sunrise will tell the tale as to how I approach the light. With the use of filters on my lens it made this capture possible.

Morning Light

Kelowna B..

I find myself thinking about the 2018 fall even though it is not quite over. It is a short season to capture. Make sure your camera gear is up to the task and have it cleaned and checked before the fall. This will ensure that you do not have any problems.

Cherry Splendour

Orchard Kelowna

We have had one of the nicest falls in British Columbia and the trees in the orchards are very remarkable this year. I have to add thanks to the property owners that gave me permission to photograph their beautiful yards.... this capture was in Kelowna ......

The Golden Arch

Kelowna B.C.

2018 season continues to shine in the Okanagan B.C. Canada ..... This year has been different than the last couple. It started out not as colourful and I was concerned that it would be over quickly and not as nice as the past years....boy was I wrong...the colors are still here and are shining brightly. To capture the beauty make sure at the very least that the polarizer is on the lens.

The Best Reflection

Yellowhead Lake B.C.

Working in the fall can be a very busy time....just getting to the spots on time before the leaves fall is challenging with the short 3 weeks we get from color to empty trees..... dont forget to use the filters on your lens to polarize the color and take advantage of all the beauty.

Fall The Best Time of Year

Canadian Landscape Photography

Fall for me is the best itme of year. Unfortunately it lasts only 3 weeks so I am very busy during that time. Going to all the favourite places to see what nature unfolds is exciting and every year the colors are different.
